The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences (CLAS) is excited to announce the sixth annual Student Speaker Competition for the CLAS undergraduate commencement ceremonies. Two graduating students will be selected to present remarks on behalf of their fellow graduates at their respective ceremony, on Sunday May 10, 2020.
Students who are interested should submit a typed manuscript and an audio recording of their speech to clas@uconn.edu, making sure to include their full name, NetID and major. The speech should be no longer than 5 minutes. Submissions will be accepted until March 9.
Faculty, staff and students from CLAS will review all submissions and determine which ones will come in for an in-person reading.
