The month of February is Black History Month. To celebrate, Jumpstart is putting together literacy kits featuring books with black protagonists. The goal is to create activities that go along with the book to encourage the children to read, make reading fun and promote black literature in the lives of children. Reaching out to offer the members of organization or individuals an opportunity to volunteer. All literacy kits will be donated to a local women and children's shelter.
