  • 2/22 NSBE's Black Women in STEM Brunch

In honor of Black History Month, the UConn Chapter of the National Society of Black Engineers(NSBE) will be hosting our “4th Annual Black Women in STEM Brunch”. The goal of the brunch is to bring women of color together with the intent to uplift and encourage them to continue pursuing a degree in STEM, as well as connect them with women who look like them in their prospective career fields.

This year the brunch will be held on February 22nd from 11 AM - 2 PM in Student Union Room 304, with the theme being, “Embrace the Culture, Change the Narrative”. We have two special guests one being Ms. Kim Thompson, a fellow UConn Alumni ’96 and current Interim VP of Public Sector Sales at Bizagi, and Ms. Stephany Santos, a 5th year Ph.D. Candidate in Biomedical Engineering at UConn.

Come and join us as we celebrate the accomplishments of African American Women in STEM and strive to continue paving the path for the generation to come.
