  • 2/5 Women in Science: Prioritizing Mental Health

    Hi everyone!

Women in Science, an organization dedicated to discussion and support of issues relevant to graduate and postgraduate women in academic life sciences, is meeting on February 5 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm in BPB 201. We will be discussing Prioritizing Mental Health and organizing for the rest of the semester! Everyone is welcome to attend and feel free to bring lunch!

Also, one last reminder about the Software Carpentry Survey: UConn Women in Science is considering hosting a Software Carpentry workshop for any and all women-identifying undergraduate students, graduate students, faculty, and staff. This workshop would also be instructed by only female-identifying scientists. Women of any skill level will be welcome to attend and their would be no cost. If you would be interested in something like this, please fill out this short survey at the end of the email so we know what you are interested in and when we should offer it. Also, please share with anyone who you think may be interested! Please fill out by February 1, 2020.

Feel free to reach out to Elizabeth Herder (Elizabeth.Herder@uconn.edu) about either of these events or about Women in Science in general.

Hope to see you on Feb 5!
