Scholarship & Award Announcements

  • NCORE Student Scholars Program

The Office of Diversity and Inclusion is happy to announce a scholarship opportunity through NCORE HERE.

Formed in 1961, the Southwest Center is devoted to the study, understanding, and resolution of human conflict and to promoting understanding and cooperation among people of different racial, ethnic, religious, and economic backgrounds. One of the major programs of the Southwest Center is the Annual National Conference on Race and Ethnicity in American Higher Education (NCORE), which serves as the leading national forum on issues of race and ethnicity in American higher education.

The NCORE Student Scholar Program supports a paid conference registration for each student recipient. It will be held on May 26 - 30, 2020 in New York City. Conference sessions will be held in two hotel properties: The New York Marriott Marquis AND The Sheraton New York Times Square. Both undergraduate and graduate students are eligible. It is hoped that the scholarship awards will serve as an incentive for higher education institutions to support student participation in the conference.
