The Daily Campus is UConn’s independent, student-run newspaper. The digital team is looking to hire new digital producers for the spring semester. The job entails:
Uploading articles to The Daily Campus website during production (8 p.m. to finish, typically around 12 a.m. Note: You may have to stay later depending on when stories come in)
Assisting in the transition of our website from Squarespace to Wordpress
Aid in the creation and rebranding of the new Daily Campus website
Develop interactive web pages to enhance reader experience
Other requirements of the job include:
Be detail-oriented and able to work on a team.
Be adaptable, eager to learn and flexible.
Be able to work 2 nights a week during production hours (8 p.m. to finish, typically around 12 a.m. Note: You may have to stay later depending on when stories come in)
Must attend a training session and staff meetings
Preferred to have knowledge of Squarespace and Wordpress
Preferred to have previous HTML knowledge
