Are you looking for a new way to get involved on campus? Do you want to give back to your community? Are you a hands-on learner? Join us in Detroit for the Urban Development, Education, and Civic Engagement Alternative Break Trip!
During this experience, students will be learning about urban development, education, and civic engagement through eight pre-trip meetings. We will then be traveling to Detroit, MI for a week-long service experience, working with several local organizations. Service will explore the connections between urban development, education, and civic engagement through work with several local non-profits; urban development charities, environmental justice organizations, and after-school programs. The trip is a great opportunity to make connections within the UConn community and gain hands-on experience in several fields!
