Student Organization Events & Information

  • 11/19 March of Solidarity, 12pm-2pm

Environmental Justice, Womxn's Rights, and Social Justice have been three prominent campaigns on the UConn Storrs campus and the March of Solidarity on Tuesday, November 19th from 12pm-2pm starting on the Student Union Terrace will give rise and awareness to these three movements as a collective front. The three movements are collaborating to recognize the intersectionality of their collective purposes.

    Mission Statement of Solidarity:

"We stand in solidarity with social justice, environmental justice, and womxn's rights movements as we recognize their deep-rooted intersectionality. We are united in the commitment to sustain life, people, and true justice for all. Through collective action, education, service, and outreach, we genuinely embrace diversity and cultivate leadership in order to enhance the integrity of our unified students, faculty, staff, and the greater community. We stand together to ensure that we rise together."

We invite and encourage all students, staff, and faculty to become involved and support this movement on this coming Tuesday through attendance, participation in our social media campaign, and spreading awareness of the march.
