  • 11/6 DIY Toothpaste with SOH

Toothpaste tubes are made using aluminum and plastic, where creating aluminum requires large amounts of energy and plastic is not biodegradable. The product is built to last however each household goes through 1 or more toothpaste tubes per month. Disposal of these tubes is not sustainable either as around 1 billion tubes of toothpaste end up in a landfill annually.

That's why you should make your own toothpaste with Students for One Health! It's free, comes with a cute mason jar, and provides directions so that you can continue to make your own regularly.

DIY Toothpaste will be held on Wednesday, 11/6 from 4-6 pm (stop in as you choose!) in SU 303.

It's One Health Week! If you come to 3 or more of our events, you can be entered to win gift cards for places like Wally's, Blaze, Kathmandu Kitchen, Spring Hill Cafe, Fenton River Grill and more! More info on each event can be found here: https://uconnsoh.wixsite.com/onehealth/one-health-week
