This Sunday, October 27th, from 10am - 2pm the UConn American Fisheries Society will be hosting their first Learn to Fish/Fishing Derby event in conjunction with the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (CT DEEP) fisheries division. The event will be held at the Mansfield Training Ponds on Depot Campus (Right across from the Allyn Larrabee Brown Building - 9 Walters Ave, Storrs, CT).
Fishing rods, tackle, and bait will be provided, or bring your own! NO FISHING LICENSE NECESSARY. There will be a FREE raffle for fishing tackle and equipment for everyone that attends. Opportunities to catch trout, bass, pickerel, and sunfish!
