  • LGBTQIA+ Advocacy Trip in NYC

    What are your plans for this upcoming spring break? Want to gain meaningful connections with fellow UConn undergraduate students while enganging in community service? Want to gain workshopping and leadership skills? Look no further than this immersive service-learning trip!

    The LGBTQIA+ Education, Identity, & Allyship Alternative Break run through Community Outreach is a week-long spring break trip to New York City and back to UConn's campus to present and workshop at the annual True Colors Conference! In NYC, we will volunteer with organizations surrounding: violence prevention, harm reduction, advocacy, and education as it relates to identity development and the topic of intersectionality within the LGBTQIA+ community!

    This trip will run from March 14th-21st, 2020- with applications due TOMORROW October 23rd at 12pm (NOON)! The application is quick and easy!

    All are welcome and encouraged to apply, regardless of your major, previous volunteer experience, or past involvements!
