Volunteer with Community Outreach at the Mansfield Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation!
Do you have experience working with the elderly population? Or do you have an interest in building meaningful connections with older adults? Generations Connect is a semester long service program connecting UConn students with the residents of Mansfield Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation.
UConn volunteers support residents as they complete arts and crafts, cognition-strengthening activities, and a variety of physical games planned by the recreational directors. UConn students volunteer on Mondays and Tuesdays from 2:00-4:00. Participants commit to one of these times and are expected to attend weekly. This program is a great experience for anyone interested in health or social services careers. Transportation is provided!
