  • 5/23 Free National Stop the Bleed Day Classes

    This free 1-hour class is designed to teach people of medical and non-medical backgrounds what to do in the case of a life-threatening bleeding emergency before emergency services arrive on scene. A bleeding emergency can result from almost anything, from a car accident to a simple fall. In this class, learn to stop a major bleeding incident in any scenario. You could potentially save a life! This class is one hour long and will include an interactive learning session in a relaxed setting. Each student who completes the class will receive a certificate of completion and a sticker.

    In honor of National Stop the Bleed Day on Thursday May 23rd, 2019 UConn Rescue has partnered with the UConn Fire Department to offer two free Stop the Bleed classes in Farmington, CT.  

    The first-class session starts at 5pm with the second beginning at 6pm. Each class is one hour long and is completely free.  

    The classes are being held in Cell and Genome Sciences Building located at 400 Farmington Avenue, Farmington, CT 06032.
