  • 5/3 UConn To Be Named "HeartSAFE Campus"

UConn will be officially designated a “HEARTSafe Campus” in a ceremony Friday, May 3, 2019 at 2 p.m. in McHugh Hall, outside of Rooms 101-102.

The designation is from the Connecticut Department of Public Health and its Office of Emergency Medical Services. UConn will be Connecticut’s first university or college to earn this designation, which is based on the number of Automatic External Defibrillators (AEDs) on campus and the number of community members trained in CPR. The designation applies to the Storrs campus, UConn School of Law and all regional campuses.

Following the ceremony, there will be representatives available to answer any questions about being a "HEARTSafe Campus."
