  • Explore your SPARK this Summer

UConn School of Engineering Offers two GREAT Summer Programs (camps) for Middle and High School students.

Explore Engineering (E2):  A five-day co-ed summer program to introduce students to all the different engineering majors that SOE offer here at UConn. Students will also participate in our Young Engineering Science Scholars (YESS) Program where they get to focus on one particular engineering major that they are most interested in. It’s a great opportunity for students interested in STEM and engineering in particular to explore their options before they start applying to college.  For current 10th and 11th grade students

SPARK: An all-female summer program, run by female undergraduate engineering students. It is for current 6ththrough 9th grade students.  SPARK has four different engineering themed sessions; Coding, Underwater Robotics, Designing and Flying Drones, and Engineering Through the Ages. Our goal with SPARK to inspire young females to pursue careers in STEM.  SOE hopes to help bridge the gender-gap in STEM through initiatives like SPARK.
