Volunteer Opportunities

  • Dominican Republic Service and Cultural Immersion

If you're interested learning about different cultures, seeing medical missions (or operativos) in other countries function, going to beautliful beaches and equally beautiful rivers in tropical forests, then luckily there are still seats available to go on Medical Humanitarian Society's annual trip! This year we are going to Santiago, Dominican Republic and working with the folks at Fundación Comunitarios Unidos Con Yunior Rodriguez!

Along with distributing medicine, going to hospitals and rural communities, we'll be seeing the beaches, rivers, and seeing the city of Santiago (one of the oldest colonial cities in the Americas). No language of Spanish or medical experience required!

The trip is very affordable ($900, with a recommended $200 for personal expenses), and nearly all of the expenses for this trip will be in buying and sending medications to the non-profits we'll be staying with!

    DATES: May 13-27
