    Asian American Heritage Observance is proud to have as its 2019 keynote speaker JOSE ANTONIO VARGAS. 

    Vargas is a Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist, Emmy-nominated filmmaker and a recognized voice for undocumented citizens and immigrants.

    He is the author of "Dear America: Notes of an Undocumented Citizen" and copies of the book will be available for purchase and signing at the event.

    Co-sponsors of this event are Office of Diversity & Inclusion, Rainbow Center, Thomas J. Dodd Research Center, Journalism Dept., Asian & Asian American Studies Institute, Dept. of Journalism, El Instituto, Puerto Rican Latin American Cultural Center, CLAS Dean's Office, Residence Hall Association, Women's Center, African American Cultural Center and the Filipino American Student Association.
