  • 3/26 Tuesday Swing and Blues Day

Ever wished you could don a flapper dress and dance the night away at a 1920s jazz party to the live music of a swing orchestra?

At UConn's Swing and Blues Club, you can learn various swing and blues dances that developed during the Jazz Age in the US, including east coast swing, Charleston, west coast swing, lindy hop, blues, fusion, and more!

We also host workshops taught by world-renowned dance instructors and social dances with live music by regional swing and blues bands!

Each week we will be teaching a beginner swing dance lesson along with a beginner blues dance or east coast swing dance lesson.

Stop by for some stress-relieving social dancing!

No experience or partner is required. Think you can't dance? Our social dances are all about having fun. We strive to create a welcoming atmosphere where people of all dance backgrounds can come to de-stress and dance it out like no one is watching.

Come dance, relax, reconnect with friends, and let us help you get back into the 'swing' of things!
