  • 3/27 Premed? Attend Dr. David Hendersons Lecture Q&A

    Hi Everyone!

    The American Medical Student Association is hosting an event on March 27th from 6-7:30pm at the library in Theater Room 1 (room 2118C).

    The guest speaker is going to be Dr. David D. Henderson, MD. He is an accomplished physician who served as Associate Dean of student affairs as well as of Multicultural recruitment and is a associate professor of Family Medicine. He is going to speak about his avcievements and what a graduate degree holds for you! Topics will range from his previous work in medically underserved communities and how you can decide whether to pursue a career in the medical/science field. 

    Dr. Henderson is currently the associate dean for Medical Student affair, assistant professor in family medicine and a physician at UConn Health. He has previously worked as a physician volunteer in rural hospitals in Sierra Leone, West Africa. He has also worked in other medically underserved communities. He is a very accomplished physician who has extensively taken community service to heart and made a difference where it matters. Come with questions!

    P.S. AMSA will be hosting a general body meeting this Tuesday from 7-8 in Koons Hall 103. We will be speaking about plans about our upcoming symposium, PreMed Fest, and upcoming Panel. We will also discuss how you can run for the open position as event manager!
