  • 3/30 Leadership in Diversity: 2019 Spring Conference

Leadership in Diversity would like to invite you to our Fourth Annual Multicultural Education and Culturally Responsive Teaching Conference on March 30th, 2019.

Our theme this year, Forging Ahead in Teacher Ed, was inspired by our time at the National Association for Multicultural Education (NAME) Conference in Memphis, Tennessee this past November. During this time, we were able to march to the Lorraine Motel where Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was assassinated 50 years ago, as well as visit the National Museum of Civil Rights Movement. Dr. King's dedication and commitment to positive change inspired and encouraged us all to continue the fight in progressing in education. The aim of our conference is to provide the same upliftment to educators and professionals continuing in the profession.

This is a conference for professionals in the education field, current students in teacher prep programs and those interested in the field of education. Attendees will have the opportunity to attend breakout sessions on a variety of topics related to multicultural education and culturally responsive teaching. The conference will close with remarks from our keynote speaker, Michael Bonner!
