UConn Rescue is hosting a FREE Department of Defense and American College of Surgeons Stop the Bleed class THIS SATURDAY.
The class will be held from 12-2pm in Koons Hall 116.
This 2 hour class is designed to teach people of all medical and non-medical backgrounds what to do in the case of a life-threatening bleeding emergency before emergency services arrive on scene. A bleeding emergency can result from almost anything, from a car accident to a simple fall. In this class, learn to stop a major bleeding incident in any scenario. You could potentially save a life! This class is two hours long and will include an interactive learning session in a relaxed setting. Each student who completes the class will receive a certificate of completion.
