Overwhelmed by the thought of getting your taxes done? Let UConn's Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program do them for you!
VITA provides free personalized tax preparation to the UConn Community and surrounding areas. We proudly serve:
- All wage earners with gross income less than $55,000 per year
- The International Community (Resident and Non-Resident Aliens)
- The Military Community (all veterans and active duty military personnel and their families, regardless of income level)
Our volunteers are UConn Business students, certified by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) to prepare simple Federal and Connecticut state income tax returns. We have additional certification in the area of Foreign Students and Scholars. We are trained to provide the highest quality service and to be sensitive to the needs of our constituents.
The School of Business Accounting Department, International Student & Scholar Services, Payroll and Accounts Payable sponsor this program. We work closely together to ensure the best possible service to our UConn community.
