  • 1/17 & 1/18 RCR Training

2019 Responsible Conduct of Research Training Workshops will take place on Thursday, January 17 and Friday, January 18.

Registration is requested, but drop-ins will be accepted, as space allows.

Please bring your University ID with you for sign-in.

The National Science Foundation (NSF) requires responsible conduct of research (RCR) training for all undergraduates, graduates, and post-doctoral fellows who conduct research supported by NSF funds. Similarly, the National Institutes of Health (NIH) requires that all trainees, fellows, participants, and scholars receiving support through any NIH training, career development award (individual or institutional), research education grant, or dissertation research grant must receive RCR training, including professional and scientific employees receiving funding from these sources. The National Institute of Food and Agriculture (NIFA) also requires education in RCR for program directors, faculty, undergraduate students, graduate students, postdoctoral researchers and any staff participating in research projects supported by an NIFA award. For faculty, RCR training is required for NIFA grants, and otherwise on a case-by-case basis, when the award stipulates that RCR training is a requirement.

The 2019 RCR Training Workshops will take place on January 17 and January 18.  Part 1 will be offered both the morning and the afternoon of Day 1.  Part 2 will be offered both the morning and afternoon of Day 2.  There is no cost to register and participate.

Both Part 1 and Part 2 must be completed in order to satisfy the RCR training workshop requirement.  You must register separately for each day.
