In recognition of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, the Puerto Rican/Latin American Cultural Center, Violence Against Women Prevention Program, and the Dominican Student Association will be screening “In the Time of the Butterflies”— a film based on the assassination of the Mirabel sisters who fought against the U.S. backed dictatorship in the Dominican Republic between 1930 and 1960.
