FINA 3995. Writing About the Arts. Three credits. Tuesdays 3:30-6:30 pm. An exploration of cultural trends in the arts, artist and performer profiles and arts reviews. Students will develop research, analysis and writing skills to better understand arts and cultural programs. Based on interviews with artists and arts organization leaders, students will produce professional pieces suitable for publication or posting in print, on-line media and/or broadcast media. Recommended preparation: JOUR 2000W or ENGL 1010, 1011 or 2011.
