Hello and Welcome to All from UCC UConn and Storrs Congregational,
As a student group on campus UCC UConn has two volunteer opportunities for anyone interested as part of Storrs Congregational's Day of Service, this Sat Oct 6th.
One is serving a meal with the Covenant Soup Kitchen of Willimantic to the community of the area. We will be preparing, serving and eating a lunch at the event. All directions on what to make and ingredients needed are supplied. Any students looking to volunteer some time this Saturday at any culinary skill level are welcome to join us in this meal.
The second is with the Windham Area Interfaith Ministry, where volunteers will help organize donated clothes to be distributed for the community in the area. Again, any students at any skill level are welcome to serve with us.
Transportation will be available to and from both events at 9:15 am in the Storrs Congregational Church Parking lot, 2 North Eagleville Rd., and both events should end between 12 and 1 in the afternoon. For more information or to RSVP please contact uccuconnasb@gmail.com.
