Volunteer Opportunities

  • Alternative Breaks Info Session

Community Outreach has a range of alternative breaks, varying in length from one weekend to two weeks, each with a different focus. These service immersion trips provide groups of students with the opportunity to explore critical social issues and enhance individual growth. They are offered over winter and spring breaks, as well as weekends during both the fall and spring semesters. All majors and ages are encouraged to apply!

Each trip integrates service, reflection, and education while focusing on topics such as urban/rural poverty, environmental conservation, HIV/AIDs awareness, community development, health care access, homelessness, and so much more!

All the trip directors from each trip are holding info sessions on both Tuesday, September 18th and Wednesday, September 19th from 7-8pm in McHugh 305 (formerly known as Laurel). This is a great opportunity to learn about all the trips in more detail and even talk to the trip directors of the trip you’re interested in!

The deadline to apply for all fall weekend and winter trips is Wednesday, September 26th at NOON while the deadline to apply for all spring break trips is Wednesday, October 24th at NOON.
