  • UCTV FREE Media Service

    Hello Organization Leaders, 

    I am writing behalf of the UConn Student Television Station (UCTV) to introduce you two FREE media services that you can request from us. UCTV is providing FREE Event Recording, Event Live-Streaming, and also FREE Promo-Video Production to all Undergraduate Student Groups. Our services are first-come-first-serve, therefore UCTV encourages all the student organization leaders to submit their media services request as early as possible. You can learn more about these two services in below.  
     
    UConn Student Public Access Network (UCSPAN)
    UCSPAN offer FREE filming, editing, and live-streaming services to various clubs and organizations on campus. 
    Some examples of events we've covered include speakers, performances, fashion shows, interviews, and more.     UCTV Advertising offers two main services to on-campus organizations, free of charge to help promote your events and organization as a whole. The first is our UConn Life video series, and the second is our UConn Spotlight video series.
    A UConn Life video is a 30 second to one-minute long video, perfect for social media sharing, that highlights a specific event that your organization is holding. It's set to music and does not contain any interviews. Think of it as a highlight reel. Here is an example of a UConn Life video: https://youtu.be/-gV32Jf0Eio.

    A UConn Spotlight video is generally between 2-3 minutes in length and features interviews with organization leaders. This is a more informal style of video and is great for posting in a place where students come to learn more about your organization, such as your website.
