Are you interested in public health and looking for a new way to serve your community? United Against Inequities in Disease (UAID) is a service-based organization that surveys both UConn and the surrounding communities for health inequities. We then create our own projects tailored to that specific community's needs. In the past, we have worked wih Windham Middle School on a program for young girl's health education and with Windham No-Freeze, a homeless shelter, to provide them goods while also dialoguing with some of their visitors.
This semster, we are looking for new ideas of how to engage with our adjacent communities and also have leadership opportunities available for both this year and next.
