  • UConn Worldfest - We need your help

    UConn Worldfest is an annual event hosted by International Student & Scholar Services to celebrate the University’s international student community and inspire curiosity about the world. Through performance, food, and activities, UConn Worldfest promotes global engagement and learning across cultures to UConn and the greater community.

     

    We need your help!

    1. You don’t have to be a student organization to participate! This is a special opportunity for you to share your culture and where you come from! Sign up to host a table, walk in the fashion show or grab some friends and give a performance or a demonstration!
    2. Help us to make sure as many countries as possible are represented in our decorations and booths- sign up to host a country/ culture specific booth and ISSS will help connect with other students wishing to host a booth for that country/ culture!
    3. Apply to be on our Worldfest Planning Committee!
    • Attend a planning committee once per week and help with Worldfest planning duties for one additional hour per week (2 hours total)

    What’s in this for you?

    • Food at each weekly meeting
    • Gain leadership, event planning and multicultural experience
    • Receive a certificate of completion and a personal letter of recommendation upon completion 

    More details are available on the sign up form, but you must be available for committee meetings from 3-4pm on Fridays and on Sunday, November 11th 11-5pm for the Worldfest event!
