Are you a pre-Health student looking to get involved in community service that directly benefits both UConn and our local communities? United Against Inequities in Disease (UAID) is a club that surveys the surrounding communities for health inequities and develops service-based projects to assist in eliminating them. In the past, we have worked with Windham Middle School on a program for girls’ self-image and with Windham No-Freeze, a homeless shelter in Willimantic. Besides this, we have also gardened with GrowWindham and have club fundraisers and social events interspersed throughout the semester to get to know each other better.
