Student Organization Events & Information

  • Want to Help Develop Student Leaders? Join HOLDUP

HOLDUP! stands for Husky Outreach for Leadership Development, Understanding, and Pride.

Our organization is made up of UConn undergraduate students with a desire to reach their leadership potential by helping local high school students do the same. During each semester, members of HOLDUP! go to participating high schools and lead educational workshops that develop students’ leadership skills, understanding, and pride.

HOLDUP! is a student run organization that meets bi-weekly. In our organization, you have the opportunity to present at the high schools, join our executive board, and participate behind the scenes in areas such as member retention, member recruitment, leadership development, marketing, and updating the curriculum. In addition to our service work, we engage in activities that further our own development as leaders while creating a fun and welcoming HOLDUP! family.

To sum it up, HOLDUP! is a group of student-leaders wishing to develop high school students who are seeking leadership influence in their lives.

The application opens up this Saturday, September 1st! Applications are due Thursday, September 20th.
