Participants wanted for a research study:
“Say ah: moving the hands while voicing”
Overview study
This study aims to assess the effects of upper limb movement on voice quality. This research question is important as it is well known that across all human cultures we constantly move our hands during talking. Therefore, in this study we want to know whether and how different types of hand movements affects our voice quality. During this task you will move your hands in several ways while voicing the vowel a. We will record your voice via a microphone and we will use a motion tracking system to track hand movements.
