  • Updates on Sharing Your Information

As a reminder, UConn launched two new features that make it easier for you to share certain information about your academic and other University records with your parents or other individuals:

    • FERPA Designee Pin Page: This newly improved FERPA pin page will allow you to assign pin codes to anyone you designate. This feature is similar to the previous version in that assigning a pin number will allow the person you designate to talk to certain University offices about your records. This feature replaces the existing FERPA pin code function in Student Admin. Students with any existing pin numbers were sent an e-mail about setting up new codes.
    • Delegated Access: Delegated access is a new function we are offering within Student Admin. This feature enables you to invite others, such as parents or spouses, to create a delegate account and access information in Student Admin that you have given them permission to view. The individual(s) you delegate will be able to see certain Student Admin screens just like you see them.

Authorized users, who are able to pay bills on your behalf, will continue to have access to view and pay your bills in TouchNet (https://payplan.uconn.edu/C21646_tsa/web/login.jsp).

If you have not done so already, you can learn more about these new options by visiting the University’s Share My Information page at https://ferpa.uconn.edu/share-my-information/.
