The UConn Sikh Student Association is excited to bring back our Annual Turban Tying Day event this year. Members of UCSSA will be tying turbans on anyone interested in learning more about our Sikh religious and cultural identity and our way of life.
The turban serves as a symbol of discipline, integrity, humility, and spirituality. We hope to shed light on the turban as a Sikh crown and symbol of pride and eliminate its association with fear in our current society. Stop by to have a chance to have your turban tied and have your photo taken!
