  • 4/16 Gender and Climate Justice Panel

On April 16, 2018, the USG Sustainability Sub-Committee will be hosting a panel titled "Frontline Conversations: Gender and Climate Justice", an event highlighting the irrefutable connections between gender and climate justice. As women are the most adversely impacted by climate change and environmental degredation, this event hopes to make it abundantly clear why the voices of women leaders must be at the forefront decision making to adequately address environmental justice and equity. The panel will host five CT-based women at the forefront of environmental justice and policy, including the following panelists:

    - Cynthia Jennings: Environmental and civil rights attorney and city Councilwoman
    - Taylor Robertson: CHISPA lead environmental promoter and high school student
    - Shubhada Kambli: Sustainability Coordinator for the City of Hartford
    - Anji Seth: Atmospheric scientist and associate professor in the Department of Geography at UConn
    - Camille Kritzman: CHISPA Community Organizer and UConn alum

    When: April 16 at 6:30pm - 7:30pm

    Where: Laurel Hall 2016
