    3/29 William Darrow RSVP & Info: “A Stitch in Time Saves Nine—Tuskegee, Patient 0, and Evidence-Based Public Health”

    Dr. William Darrow was chief of the Behavioral and Prevention Research Branch, Division of STD/HIV Prevention, National Center for Prevention Services, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). His role in demonstrating the sexual transmission of the AIDS virus was described by Randy Shilts in And the Band Played On. His character was portrayed by Richard Masur in the Emmy-Award winning motion picture of the same name. He can be seen playing himself in The Zero Factor, part one of the four-part documentary, A Time of AIDS.

    Brian Hainline, M.D., is Chief Medical Officer of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA).  Dr. Hainline oversees the NCAA Sport Science Institute, a national center of excellence whose mission is to promote and develop safety, excellence, and wellness in college student-athletes, and to foster life-long physical and mental development.
