Spend a month in South of France this summer - and earn credit!!
There are still a few places left on UConn's program in the South of France this summer.
The deadline for applications is today - 27th February.
Click here for more information and to apply, or visit abroad.uconn.edu and search for 'Toulouse'.
The program is open to all undergraduate students, whatever their level of French and whatever their major.
Known as the "pink city" (la ville rose), Toulouse is a sunny, warm, safe and friendly student city in the Languedoc region of southern France. The city is home to French engineering (the Airbus and the Ariane rocket are built here) as well as a vibrant cafe culture and nightlife. Situated close to spectacular medieval sites such as the walled city of Carcassone and the Cathar castles, Toulouse is nestled between the mountains of the Pyrenees and the beaches of the Mediterranean. Students will have a chance to explore all of these and more during the program - and will also spend a long weekend in Paris!
Participants in the Toulouse program will:
- Spend June exploring the sunny and warm South of France
- Earn between 6 and 8 course credits, studying with UConn professors
- Learn French from scratch in a month or brush up existing skills
- Stay with a French family, immersing themselves in both language and culture.
As if that were not reason enough: learning a foreign language can offer enormous intellectual and professional advantages to students. French is spoken by over 220 million people across five continents, and opens doors to opportunities in Canada, Switzerland, Belgium, the Caribbean and across the continent of Africa as well as in France.
