A milestone in the progress of the New UConn Recreation Center construction is about to be reached! The final beam of the steel construction will be set in place next week. Monday, February 26, students, faculty, and staff are invited to come sign the beam that will forever be part of the new building. The 20 foot beam can be signed anytime between 11AM and 2PM on Fairfield Way. Stop by and sign your name. The beam will be hoisted up into its final place the following day, Tuesday, February 27th at noon. That is the official "Topping Off" ceremony which is open to the public.
