TOURS OF CO-GEN DURING ENGINEERS WEEK 2/19 THRU 2/23
Tours of Co-Gen (aka Central Utility Plant (CUP)) will be offered during Engineers week (2/19 thru 2/23).
Co-gen is a power plant on campus that provides electricity and useful heat for all of UConn Storrs campus. During your tour of Co-Gen, you would see a 15 minute presentation with the general highlights of the power plant; followed by a 20 minute private tour (where you actually get to go inside the power plant and see all the machines up close and personal). There is a limit of 25 students per tour and you will be required to wear close toed shoes to participate.
Tours will begin at 6:00 pm– 7:00 pm and will meet at the door on the side of the plant (behind Engineering II (E2) and next to Pharmacy).
