Additional UConn Information

  • Pre-Law Center Friendly Reminders

Faculty and staff: Please see the following message which was distributed to the Student Daily Digest. Please refer to this information if you advise any pre-law students.

Are you interested in becoming a lawyer or pursuing a legal career? Do you want to find out how to write a personal statement for law school? What’s the new Accelerated Program in Law all about? We’re here to help!

The UConn Pre-Law Center offers advising, workshops, and other resources to pre-law undergraduate students and alumni. Here are a few helpful pointers and reminders about our procedures:

    1. Make sure you’re subscribed to our listserv (if not, please email prelaw@uconn.edu from your UConn email account and request to be added, stating your year of graduation as well) to take full advantage of the valuable information and opportunities that we distribute.
    2. If you have individualized questions unique to your situation, you can make an appointment with Diane Whitney, JD (UConn’s Pre-Law Advisor), to address your specific questions and concerns. She is listed on advapp.uconn.edu under the “Pre-Professional” heading.

Our website (https://prelaw.uconn.edu/) also contains a wealth of information. If you cannot find an answer to your question on the website, please email us at prelaw@uconn.edu. Thanks, and we look forward to working with you!
