    Family & Medical Leave Changes

As a Result of SEBAC 2017 Agreement

The 2017 SEBAC Agreement made a number of changes to employees’ family & medical leave rights.  The new leave entitlements available to employees can be found on the Human Resources Family & Medical Leave Act Website by leave type and your union affiliation/employment status.  Please note these changes are not applicable to Graduate Assistants.  The State Department of Administrative Services (DAS) will update the State’s FMLA policy, and the Understanding FMLA brochure in the coming weeks.

Please note that the previous FMLA/Medical Leave workflow and forms in the Core-CT system has been temporary disabled.  ALL requests for family & medical leaves must be requested through the Human Resources Leave Administrators until further notice.  Please visit the HR Family & Medical Leave Act website  for additional information and the forms.

Employees needing any other long-term leaves (e.g. Sabbatical, Military, etc.) should continue to apply through the CORE-CT Employee Self Service System https://ess.uconn.edu/.

Please contact your Leave Administrator listed below with any questions.
