Research participants needed: we are studying music abilities and sound processing in individuals with strong musical abilities -- "musical experts."
- This study is being conducted by Profs. Inge-Marie Eigsti and Ed Large at the University of Connecticut.
- You will be interviewed by an experimenter, and do some computer games. You will be asked to wear a special cap to measure brain activity while you listen to tones and clicks, music and speech. You may have an MRI scan of your brain while you listen to music and speech sounds.
- Total time will be approximately 6 hours, with breaks.
- Participants will be compensated $10/hour for their time. Participants who complete an MRI scan will receive $50.
