  • 10/14 Topaz Elements System Unavailable Saturday

The Office of the Vice President for Research (OVPR), Research IT Services would like to notify UConn Health animal researchers and administrators that the Topaz Elements system used for IACUC animal protocols and Center for Comparative Medicine animal orders will be offline on Saturday, October 14, 2017 beginning at 10:00 AM EST. Topaz Technologies, LLC which hosts the software for the University will be moving our system to a new data center. After the move occurs, access to the system may be sporadic for up to 24 hours continuing into Sunday, October 15.  Faculty and staff should avoid using the system over this weekend when possible.

Once the system returns, login to Topaz Elements through the same web address, however, we recommend that each user clear their browser’s cache file before going to the Topaz Elements website. To open the menus used to clear your cache, cookies, and history, press Ctrl-Shift-Delete (Windows) or Command-Shift-Delete (Mac) on your keyboard while your web browser is open and follow your browser’s prompts to clear the cache file.

We appreciate your understanding, patience and cooperation as the vendor completes maintenance on their hosted systems.
