    The Anthropology Scholars' Initiative and Experimental Anthropology Lab (EAL) invite you to attend the Experimental Anthropology Colloquium on Thursday October, 5 in Beach 404 from 4-5:30pm.  

    Introduction by Dr. Dimitris Xygalatas, director of Uconn Experimental Anthropology Lab and affiliate of the Connecticut Institute for the Brain and Cognitive Sciences

    First talk: ‘Religious Rituals as Costly Signals: An Experimental Anthropological Approach in Mauritius’

    Peter Mano, PhD candidate in Anthropology and Religious studies and visiting Fulbright Scholar from University of Bratislava and Masaryk University in Brno

    Second talk: ‘Dynamics of Fans' Experiences During Basketball Games’
    Gabriela Baranowski Pinto, PhD student, Uconn Department of Psychology

    Refreshments will be provided as will ample time for discussion about the EAL work.
