  • 9/16 Advising a Group that Runs an Alt. Break Trip?

If you advise a group that is running an Alternative Break this academic year - encourage them to join this training!

Alternative Breaks are service-learning experiences designed to heighten participants’ awareness of critical social issues, enhance their individual growth, and prepare them for lifelong social action. Each weekend or weeklong trip integrates service, reflection and education and focuses on topics as varied as poverty, hunger, housing, healthcare, and disaster relief.

This training is mandatory if a group is seeking USG funding for their Alternative Break but we strongly encourage all groups running trips to join us.

TO JOIN THIS TRAINING, THE GROUP CAN Sign up here!

If you have any questions, please reach out to Ashley Hazleton - Coordinator of Alternative Breaks and Community Service Days through Student Activities Community Outreach at: ashley.hazleton@uconn.edu.
