The University of Connecticut Police Department has installed a pharmaceutical collection “drop box” in the lobby of the police department located at 126 North Eagleville Road on Storrs. The purpose of the box is to help area residents and community members safely dispose of unused and unneeded medications.
Residents and community members are encouraged to place their unused medications/drugs into the collection box. These deposits can be made anonymously.
Opened containers of liquid will not be accepted unless they are completely sealed. Syringes will not be accepted. No medications or other waste shall be permitted to be left outside of the drop box.
Items deposited will be destroyed at a State approved area incinerator.
