Sent on behalf of Dr. Jennifer Lease Butts, Assistant Vice Provost, Enrichment Programs and Director, Honors Program

I am delighted to announce that Dr. Anne Kim has joined us in the Honors Program as an additional STEM Scholar Advisor as of July 21st. She will be working with Kaitlin Heenehan, fellow STEM Scholar Advisor, in supporting the STEM Scholar Community and all students in the Honors Program. She will also be co-directing the Honors to Opportunities Learning Community.

Dr. Kim is a graduate of Yale University with a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering and the University of California (San Francisco and Berkeley) with a Ph.D. in Bioengineering. Most recently Dr. Kim was an Assistant Professor within the Department of Chemistry at Sogang University in Seoul, South Korea. She comes to us with relevant knowledge and experience directly in an interdisciplinary STEM field as well as in creating a supportive environment for students to excel both in and out of the classroom. I am confident that her experience will serve her well in this role.

Please join me in welcoming Anne to UConn, Honors, and the STEM Scholar Community!

    All my best,

    Jennifer Lease Butts, Ph.D.
    Assistant Vice Provost, Enrichment Programs
