UConn Concert Band: The City Symphony
UConn’s Concert Band will perform a concert entitled The City Symphony on Tuesday, April 18. The performance begins at 8:00 pm and will take place at UConn’s von der Mehden Recital Hall. Split into three parts and musically depicted as unique “cityscapes,” each individual act will comprise a musical style with different embodiments of time, place, and tone. UConn’s talented musicians will portray emotionally driven scenes representing these unique settings and themes, ensuring a captivating experience is had by all in attendance.
Tickets can be purchased online at vdm.ticketleap.com. General admission is $10 and free for children and students. UConn’s von der Mehden Recital Hall is located at 875 Coventry Rd in Storrs, right across from Mirror Lake. Plenty of free, well-lit parking is available just across the street.
