In response to threats to those in our communities, graduate students across various departments are collecting funds and supplies for Integrated Refugee and Immigrant Services (IRIS) in New Haven. This organization does incredible work helping to settle individuals in safe homes, in addition to organizing classes and community groups, helping coordinate community events such as art exhibits and dinners, and supporting children and adults as they adapt to new lives at home, work, and school. The English department ran a successful drive last year, raising over $2,000 and collecting several vehicles full of supplies for IRIS. In the aftermath of this year's election, we ask for your help again to show our communities that all are welcome here.
